Bob Gostischa
Presenter, Avast Evangelist
"Protecting Yourself, Your Computer, and Your Identity"
MEETING DATE: August 16, 2013

It’s common wisdom that avoiding suspicious web-based content and especially ‘dodgy’ websites will keep you safe on the Internet. Or is it? Unfortunately, that sort of information is ‘old and outdated’ technology. Protecting both your computer and your identity has changed in nature and in practice over the past few years. Fortunately, that information can be demystified, and Bob Gostischa will be here to see us through. Although it may seem daunting, and we may not even know what to look out for, the subject of our August general meeting is going to be easy to understand. Bob’s presentation will focus on normal everyday computer users, rather than “IT geeks.” Bob has a sense of humor, and is a polished and accomplished presenter. We are pleased that he will be with us for our meeting.

His talk will touch on the following topics:

Bob will also take the time to answer your questions and we are sure to have a lively evening.

Join presenter Bob Gostischa, as he simplifies, clarifies, and demystifies your computer, making your Internet experience a safe, secure and, enjoyable one.
